    Gerry Gomez, born in 1919, distinguished himself as a right hand batsman and right-arm medium pace bowler. He made his debut in Test Cricket against England in 1939 and served West Indian cricket in a number of different capacities: as radio broadcaster, umpire, tour master and administrator of the West Indian Cricket Board of Control.

    Dr Selwyn Griffith, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Soil Science, Faculty of Agriculture, The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine has been involved in the laying down of cricket pitches for over fifteen years. He had also played the game for a number of years as a member of the Canada National Team.

    This interview in which Gerry Gomez talks about Jeff Stollmeyer was done following the tragic death of Jeff Stollmeyer who was scheduled to be interviewed as part of the series on Cricket. Jeffrey Stollmeyer made his debut in test Cricket against England in 1939 and played an important part in West Indies Cricket from the l930's. He was a right-hand batsman and right-am leg spin bowler and captain of the West Indies team in 14 Tests.
