In Haiti, Madame Ertha Pascal-Trouillot who was arrested for complicity and charged for corruption was released from prison today and placed under house arrest. Mr. Emile Gumbs, Chief Minister of Anguilla shares Mr. Lavity Stoutt, Chief Minister of the British Virgin Islands concerns. Mr. Gumbs believes that the death penalty in a small island is a definite deterrent and that the territories should have decided for themselves on this matter.
