Trinidad and Tobago's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ralph Maraj has been fired. Mr. Maraj contemplates his political future after the announcement. In Britain, the climax of V-E Day celebrations to mark the end of the Second World War in Europe, took place. Jamaica's Governor General Sir Howard Cooke comments on whether he was disappointed that only two invitations had been sent to the Caribbean for attendance at the celebrations.
