Teague: Music Literacy No Must For Pannists
Abstract
This article features, pannist Liam Teague, who earned his undergraduate and masters degree in music from Northern Illinois University (NIU). He is the second musician to receive NIU alumni award. Teague's discusses his view of music literacy as he believes that a pannist does not have to be music literate to play well. However, he is of the view that music literacy helps a musician master a piece a music in short period of time.
