Abstract
This ancient picture shows an oil boring derrick installed in the midst of a section of thick tropical forest. The trees in the foreground are several feet high with their tops are out of view. A few animals, either horses or donkeys with saddles, are sheltering under the trees. Some trees have been chopped down leaving tree stumps. A few men, all in white with hats are congregating under a hut near the mid-ground of the photograph.
