This editorial states that Panorama 1979 has expired amid a cloud of rhetoric and against a backdrop of heightened expectations among steelbandsmen based on promises which appear to have been made by spokesmen for the government. There seems to be a communication problem between Pan Trinbago President George Goddard and the Minister of Culture Cuthbert Joseph in terms of proposals to increase the appearance fees to the steelbands.en_US
