The Caribbean team led by the President of the Caribbean Banana Exporters Association, Dr. Marshall Hall, faced a thirty-five minutes session with the MPs who questioned the competitiveness of regional bananas and the argument against preferential access being replaced by direct aid. The decision still has to be approved by both Houses of the British Parliament.
