2. Thirty-four people were killed when a Cuban passenger plane crashed in the Dominican Republic last night. As Jean Michel Caroit reports from Santo Domingo, the plane exploded after slamming into a hillside near the northern city of Puerto Plata. Authorities said 16 Cubans, 16 Dominicans and 2 Italians were aboard the plane operated by a Cuban-based charter company (00:42-02.57)

7. Trinidad and Tobago former Foreign Affairs Minister, Dr. Sahadeo Basdeo will be part of a six-man team representing the OAS at the elections in Peru on Sunday (10:44-11:13)

The motion notes that Jamaica’s National Security Minister has recently announced his intention to resume executions after a five-year break. 10. In Trinidad and Tobago, the appeal by three convicted murderers against their executions, scheduled for today has been postponed until Tuesday. Amnesty International repeated its concerns about the possible executions (14:08-14:41)
