The Royal Botanic Gardens, Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago were established in 1818. The gardens are located north of the Queen's Park Savannah and are one of the world's oldest Botanic Gardens. They occupy 61.8 acres or 25 hectares with approximately 700 trees, 13% of them indigenous to Trinidad and Tobago and the others collected world wide. Here we see one of the gardeners watering the plants.en
