Abstract
Dr Gregory Montserin began his career in agriculture by attending the Imperial College of Tropical Agriculture, He later studied at McGill and Toronto Universities where he did his Ph.D, returning to Trinidad in the early l930's as a "very qualified plant pathologist," with a special commission to work on Witch's Broom disease. This began his long and continuing association with the propagation of cocoa in Trinidad and Tobago, until his retirement in 1958 as Deputy Director of Agriculture in charge of research.
