Abstract
This report is an examination of the regulation and administration of public and private early childhood care and education institutions in Trinidad and Tobago. 1. To assess the regulatory framework that governs the Early Childhood Care and Education institutions in Trinidad and Tobago; 2. To assess the performance of Government and Government-assisted ECCE Centres for the period 2017-2022 inclusive of systems implemented to combat learning loss experienced during the Covid-19 pandemic; 3. To assess the health and safety compliance of ECCE Centres; and 4. To assess the ECCE curriculum in relation to preparation of children for primary school.
