dc.description.abstractUWI modifies matriculation requirements for undergrads. The University of the West Indies has announced its decision to modify the matriculation requirements specific to the new academic year amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The Board of the Undergraduate Studies met and approved that students who have passed at least two CAPE subjects in either Unit 1 or 2 will qualify as normal matriculants. UWI says that its decision is grounded in specific analysis as research on students' predictive performance shows that passes at CAPE Unit 1 were 97% predictive of success at CAPE Unit 2.
