| dc.description.abstract | The Belize Education Sector Plan 2021-2025 sets out the Ministry of Education’s vision and plan for Making Education Work for Belize. It notes that “the COVID-19 pandemic has further exposed and widened the learning gaps in our education system particularly in our most vulnerable rural communities where the information technology infrastructure is virtually non-existent”. The report consists of an introduction detailing; 1) the country context; 2) the education system; and 3) the overview of the Belize Education Sector Plan 2021-2025. It looks at strategic priorities such as; 1) reforming the system of education; 2) transforming teaching and learning; 3) prioritizing undeserved sectors; and 4) maximizing human capital. The report also examines implementation and monitoring arrangements, timelines and outputs, expected outcomes, risk mitigation methods, and financing arrangements. | |
