Reports address the disruption of a political meeting held by the Prime Minister in Haiti, Rene Theodore in which his bodyguard was shot and killed and on speculations of the return of ousted President, Jean-Bertrand Aristide. There are also reports on the reconsideration of the hosting of Carifesta by the Trinidad and Tobago government and on the consideration of new proposals. News out of Jamaica report on the stance of officials that they have been adhering to their comittments they undertook at the last Caricom summit in St. Kitts in light of questions raised on the seriousness to Caricom integration by Sir Shridath Ramphal. In St. Lucia the opposition claims that a planned meeting by the Constituency Boundaries Commission is for the realigning of political boundaries for the purpose of giving the ruling party an unfair advantage.en_US
