Abstract
Overlooking the picturesque eastern coastline of Barbados is the sundial mounted on a pedestal in the churchyard at the St. John’s Church. This historical feature reflects the colonial past and heritage of the island. It served as an early timepiece. It’s crafted from stone and marked with Roman numerals using the position of the sun’s shadow to indicate the time of the day. This is a divided back postcard. Back of the postcard A08 £4-. Published by H.W. Parkinson, copyright. There’s a small square box with the words inside, “Printed in Saxony.”
