2. After twenty-one years of cricketing isolation, South Africa is readmitted to the International Cricket Council with full membership. The announcement was made by the Chairman of the ICC, Colin Cowdrey, and Jonathan Agnew reports that South Africa’s return came without the backing of the West Indies Cricket Board of Control.
