dc.description.abstractThis image shows a group of four ladies in front of a wooden structure with trays of their goods in hand. They are dressed in the fashion of the day; long dresses with long sleeves,frilled tops and hats. One lady carries her tray of goods on her head. This is an undivided back postcard. NR 16 Back of the postcard reads: Beachmount Hotel, Bathsheba, Barbados, West Indies - March 5th, 1912 Many thanks for your kind letter of January 8th, received by the local mail. I fear I shall not be able to answer it for some long time as I am suffering from a brain and nervous breakdown, consequent on mental overwork. The doctor forbids writing and is threatening a “rest cure” if there is not more improvement soon. Was glad to hear all your news, am sincerely sorry for “Holt” seems so delicate - yes, I saw Mrs. Richards several times and she came to tea with me one afternoon. With love to yourself and the boys, offer my kind regards to Mr. Innes. Believe me! Yours effectively, E.
