dc.description.abstract	In this letter to the editor, the author Elsa Reyes comments that the sponsorship system is outdated and non-beneficial to the national music of Trinidad and Tobago. Reyes calls for the immediate establishment of a "Steelband Development Foundation" which would allow each citizen to contribute towards the funding of the steelband movement.	en_US
