dc.description.abstractWith government's emphasis on event tourism and TIDCO's general strategy of increasing international awareness of this country, the steelpan, is benefiting from a superior and far more exciting level of international promotions than has previously existed. TIDCO has provided assistance to steelbands in an effort to begin the overwhelming task of re-educating the world on the origins of steelpan.en_US
