Abstract
These oil lands are being prepared to accommodate an oil field. The lands are littered with felled trees. Some of the men in the photograph are dressed casually and others are more formally dressed. Their clothing might give hints about their occupation at this site. Five men on the left of the photograph are wearing shirts or jerseys with black hats - most of them have their backs to the camera - and are busy at work. Two men in mid-ground are posing for the photograph. They are wearing hats, shirts and ties. Three men on the right are also wearing hats and ties and seem to be observing the proceedings.
