dc.description.abstract | The State House in Roseau, Dominica is located at the same site of the first government house which was constructed by the British Government in 1776. In 1834 the original building was demolished by a hurricane, now the present renovated structure is one of the major historical and architectural attractions in the capital Roseau, and is used for official and state receptions.
