dc.description.abstractThe article reports that Edgar (Junior) Pouchet, pan beater and arranger, had to get out of Trinidad in order to live off his music. Junior is here this year with Silver Stars, a Newtown pan side, reorganising the band for Carnival 1974. Pouchet while in Los Angeles did an audition and landed a contract to beat pan in Florida's Disneyland.en_US
