Abstract

A view of the Governor's Residence from across the garden with a curved path lined with benches, potted plants and a variety of tropical flora, leading to the main building. Just to the left of the building is a giant Samaan tree and in the background is the hills of St. Ann's. This residence was designated "The President's House" in 1976 when Trinidad and Tobago became a Republic. The postcard is addressed to Miss Helen Smith, Mont., U.S.A. Affixed to the postcard is a Trinidad and Tobago 1 penny stamp, postmarked December 20, 1910.
