Abstract

This photograph gives us a hint of what a residential street looked like in Tobago, British West Indies. Large houses flank the street which is on an incline. Many of the houses are two-story and made of concrete and wood with pitched or hipped roofs and sash windows. Curtains blow out of the sash window at right. Noteworthy is the second floor balcony at right which looks like an addition to the house. A few people are standing on the corridor below it. A few more people are in the street. The plant life is sparse with a few coconut palms on the horizon.
