Abstract

This reports looks at the outcome of Dame Eugenia Charles' visit to Europe to represent the banana producers in the Windward islands; Guatemalean Foreign Minister speaks about the proposal for put forward on behalf of the Latin American banana producers; the banana issue is high on the agenda of the political parties campaigning for elections in St. Vincent and the Grenadines; Working People Alliance's co- leader, Rupert Roopnarine states that they want charges to be laid against Gregory Smith as a conspirator in the death of Dr. Walter Rodney; and the British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection(BUAV) plans to campaign against Barbados for its abuse of the green monkey.
