Abstract

A man, wearing a helmet, rides his bicycle through this unpaved country road in Trinidad. There is a bare hillside at his right and at his left there might be a precipice as one can see the tops of bamboo, which are usually many feet high, looking like road-side plants. Just in front of the bamboo, as well as behind the rider, are wooden guard fences. On the hazy horizon, one can see a cluster of coconut palms. Heaps of leaves line the road’s edge on either side.
