In the mid 1920s until the early 1960s, the Barbados Aquatic Club was a leading centre of social activity. Built on the site of what is now the Radisson Aquatica Hotel (formerly Grand Barbados), the Barbados Aquatic Club provided changing rooms for swimmers, a bar, a cinema, a dance hall, and a skating rink.
