Abstract

This is an image of four men who are harvesters in a sugar cane field in Barbados. They are all dressed in the appropriate dress of agricultural laborers of the day, each one holding a piece of sugar cane and a cutlass in each hand. Divided back. At the back of Postcard: arbados – (undecipherable) 193 Ce ? Dear Stevie – I am plenty little boys (but black ones) eating sugar cane like you do candy and chewing gum. These little chaps never have to bother with leggings or galoshes or heavy coats. The same (undecipherable) suit does for all year round and for every day till it falls apart. Love Winea??
