dc.description.abstractThe postcard shows the Colonial Hospital which dates back to 1858. The two storey building, with its Georgian style architecture, was designed by Lewis Samuels. The building was constructed on the site of the former British military barracks called Orange Grove. This card is addressed to Mr. Geo Kouchakji of Brooklyn, United States of America and dated 15th April 1919.en
