dc.description.abstract | The steelband Invaders established itself as one of the leading bands with its renditions of classics in calypso tempo, under the direction of Ellie Mannette. Invaders has always been a force to be reckoned with although the band has never yet won a Panorama title. It is one of five bands which has taken part in Carnival competitions from 1963 to 2004 and its association with Ken "Professor" Philmore has certainly put the band in a high role. | en_US |
