The objective of this project/programme is increasing resilience of the education system to climate change impacts in the Eastern Caribbean region namely Antigua and Barbuda, the Commonwealth of Dominica and St Lucia. The thematic focal area is disaster risk reduction and early warning systems. Despite limited climate change action and knowledge sharing on climate change at the regional level, political commitment has been established for climate change action in the education sector at the regional and national level through the Antigua and Barbuda Declaration on School Safety, which was signed by 12 Caribbean Ministries of Education and the development of a Regional Road Map on School Safety.
