Abstract
A portrait of the wife of an East Indian merchant. The woman, who is of East Indian origin, is wearing a sari, under this garment she is wearing a bodice and skirt. She is richly adorned with jewelry i.e. hair ornaments, a nose ring, earrings,necklaces, bangles and armlets.
