dc.description.abstractThis photo is an aerial view of Upper Broad Street in Bridgetown, Barbados. It is a busy street scene with people, donkey carts, and wagons. The image shows men and women's fashion of the day. There are many stores and shops located on both sides of the street, with roofs of wooden shingle structures, wrought iron balconies and windows with wooden shutters. One of the stores signs which is most visible is the “J.R.H. Seifert & Co. Ltd. On the front of the Postcard is a Barbados 1d stamp Rubber stamp – 18 FEB? – G.P.O. This is an undivided back postcard. Back of the Postcard Addressed to : Professor Dr. Arnold Poschl, Klosterwiesgasse Graz, Osterreich. ENTP £15 A6 (Handwritten in Pencil)
