An anti-government rally is taking place in St Georges after the union representatives of dissatisfied teachers refused to turn up for a meeting with the Prime Minister. Workers at the Grenada Broadcasting Network are currently on strike. (00:23-01:06)
dc.description.tableofcontents3. The authorities in Cuba have freed one of the country’s best known jail dissidents Félix Bonne. Human Rights activists and family members said Mr Bonne’s release was conditional. He was entitled to parole after completing most of his four-year sentence for criticizing the Cuban government. Jamaican businessman, Pat Rousseau, turned back the challenge of Trinidad and Tobago’s Board President, Allan LeQuay, to secure a third successive term as President of the West Indies Cricket Board at the AGM in George Town.
