| dc.description.abstract | Two beggars of East Indian origin, clothed in dhotis, begging in Marine Square Port of Spain. Originally called the Plaza de la Marina by the Spanish - the name given to the area extending from the Wharf in the west to the Roman Catholic Cathedral to the east - the name was changed when the British came in 1797, to Marine Square and in 1962 the Marine Square was renamed Independence Square. | en |
