dc.description.abstract | The Savannah (Historic Garrison Savannah), is located close to the capital, Bridgetown, and has been the home of horse racing in Barbados since 1845. In those days, the British Regiment officers used it as a parade ground to match their horses in races. The Garrison is also home to some historical structures such as the Guard House and its famous clock tower, the Drill Hall, St Ann’s Fort, the Barbados Museum, and George Washington House. | en_US |
