One branch of the Immortelle is seen at the top left corner of this photograph, showcasing beautiful brilliant vermillion clusters of flowers. The tree flowers mainly when it is out of leaf. Behind the Immortelle are several palms and other vegetation. Below it is a bridge with a simple railing and a little wooden hut with a galvanise roof. Immortals used to be plentiful and were used extensively as shade trees in cocoa plantations.en
