dc.description.abstractAneela Bhagwant recounts her first birthing experience. She recalls learning of her pregnancy while in India pursuing postgraduate studies. She relied heavily on her support from her mother and her OBGYN. She also consulted BabyCenter.com as a resource for pre-natal information and post-natal care for her newborn. She also discusses the Hindu ceremony undertaken when a new baby comes into the family.
