dc.description.abstract | The finals of the 1973 Steelband Music Festival has been able to convince those who think of pan as a 'carnival instrument' to think otherwise. The six bands competing in category "B" showed how serious they were by their discipline and generally polished performances. East Side Symphony emerged winners with the overture from "Rosamunde" by Schubert. There is a review of the other steelbands performances and their placements. | en_US |
