Abstract
Pan Trinbago arranges for panmen to meet with Ear Specialist, Dr. Mohammed A. Aziz, to discuss the problem of deafness which is affecting an increasing number of panmen. Dr. Aziz expressed concern at the general increase in deafness in the country and made two suggestions which might help to eliminate the degree of noise caused by the steelband. George Goddard, former president of the Steelband Association and noted panbeater stated that he suffers from defective hearing which he developed from his steelpan days.
