Abstract

A man makes his way through Marine Square. In the background a host of horse drawn carriages can be seen. Near the roofline of the building on the left a sign reads, "Salvatori, Scott and Company". This was a company founded by Joseph Henry Salvatori, who formed a partnership with Mr. C. W. Scott. Marine Square was renamed Independence Square in 1962.
