Abstract
The postcard shows a busy market scene taking place in a narrow alley between two tall buildings. One man carries a suitcase (grip). Evidence of the dress of the day, vendors plying their trade,blacks and whites making their purchases.

"Please keep this card for me. At Worthing on the beach before breakfast. Hot and sunny rained heavily in the night but no hurricane. Went shopping down this lane on Saturday morning. Signed book at Government House. Am tomorrow touring island in car of college lecturer. Bermuda was luxurous beautiful. Had fun with girl from West Grinstead riding around on putt putt cycle. Went out every night with Americans to see steel band, limbo dancers & water skiing. Excellent food & comfort. Heather".
