Abstract
Herbert Hughes of the Anguilla United Party and one of three opposition MPs in the recent elections claimed that voting was not conducted fairly. Similar allegations are made by opposition MP, Victor Banks. Ben Johnson's coach, Charlie Francis testifies at Canada's judicial enquiry into the use of drugs in sports and in Britain, Frank Bruno returns home as the most popular loser. In the Caribbean, Joaquin Balaguer, President of the Dominican Republic announces that great progress is made in fostering relations with Cuba.
