Abstract
Through the leaves of the large tree on the left of this photograph one sees a panoramic view of the Memorial Park, formally known as War Memorial Park, with its impressive war monument. The monument was placed here in honour of Trinidad and Tobago nationals who served and died in World Wars I and II, 1914-1918 and 1939-1945. The words inscribed on the monument are “In honour of all who served. In memory of those who fell”. In the background are historic buildings and palm trees.
