dc.description.abstractThe article looks at Merry Tones Steel Orchestra which was established around 1942 and is one of the oldest existing bands. Merry Tones was classed as a small band and won Small Band Panorama title in 1995. In the last five years, the band has grown rapidly and now has a full complement of 100 players.en_US
