Abstract
Hastings Rocks was one of the foremost recreational facilities in the area and was used primarily by the Caucasian population during the colonial period. Later it was utilized by organizations for the hosting of fairs and Police Band concerts. In recent times it has undergone significant changes, notably, the construction of the popular boardwalk extending along its waterfront southward to Accra Beach Hotel and westward as far as the Amaryllis Hotel.
