dc.description.abstractEven as the Steelband Music Festival is launched, feature speaker Pat Bishop, quelled the pervading euphoria, by announcing that she could not agree with the title "Pan is Beautiful VIII". This year's festival is being held in Bishop's honour and she states that while it would be ungracious not to accept the honour, she felt it inappropriate while other pan icons are still alive.en_US
