Abstract
This postcard shows a type of hut or ajoupa which was built using roundwood or pitchpine or bamboo for the frame of the house. A hole was dug in the ground and clay packed around to the base of the house so that it appeared higher while the walls were made from a mixture of grass, cow dung and water to form the tapia.
