Abstract
A view of Moruga Bay from the Gulf of Paria shows structures nestled among coconut palms and other trees with one of these buildings having a steeple. Located near the centre of Trinidad's south coast and at the western end of the Trinity Hills, Moruga is where Christopher Columbus came ashore in 1498 in search of fresh water and also where he lost his anchor.
