This is the third prison disturbance and reports of violence in less than three weeks. A government appointed committee led by the country’s Attorney General Carl Joseph reached a consensus to improve meals, reduce lockup times and install two televisions sets. Government also appointed Barbadian jurist Sir Frederick Smith to lead a judicial commissioner enquiry expected to begin 15 September.
